CHICK PEA CUTLETS

I was thinking what to make for evening snack. I usually keep boiled chick pea in freezer. I combined whatever vegetables i had and made this , believe me it was delicious. I tried the deep frying the same yesterday hmm , it is a sad story :-(. I somehow managed to make it as some other dish. will post later.

INGREDIENTS

Boiled chick pea – 1 cup
Onion – 1
Carrot – 1
Cauliflower- 10 florets
Boiled potato – 1 medium
Chili powder – 1 tbsp
Garam masala – ½ tbsp
Salt to taste
Cilantro for garnishing
Bread crumbs
Oil for frying

METHOD

1. Grind the boiled chick pea in a mixer without adding water.
2. Grate the carrot and cauliflower and finely chop the onions and microwave high for 2 minutes.
3. Combine grounded chick pea and the vegetables

4. Add salt, chili powder, garam masala and cilantro and mix well.

5. Make small balls and flatten it between your
hands and roll it in Bread crumbs.

6. Heat oil in a tawa and toast the cutlets
7. Serve with sauce or chutney.

:)) I laughed reading about the deep frying... all I could think about as all the times my food dissolved completely into little particles in the oil!!! Cutlets look great!

Have you added potatoes , since the dough is so soft or loose it might have happened.

I tried something similar to this, instead of potatoes i used bread(diped and squeezed in water) to help in binding,it was a total disaster. Will try using ur recipe this time.
