This is my husbands favourite salad for his lunch box. My kids also love this. My husband lunch box always contains a salad. One day there was nothing to keep for salad. I had some chickpeas soaked for making channa. I combined what vegetables i have , it came out so.. well.
Chick peas - 1 cup
(soaked and Boiled)
Onion - 1/2
Grated carrot - 2 tbsp
Cucumber - 1
Tomato - 1
Finely chopped green chili - 1
Raw mango (chopped) - 1 tbsp
Rock salt, as per taste
Cilantro for garnishing
1. Combine all the ingredients and toss well to mix together.
2. If you don't have raw mango you can use lemon juice.
3. Instead of Green chili you can use pepper powder.
