TOMATO KOTHSU - SIMPLE AND DELICIOUS

I learnt this recipe from my mom. This is easy to make, and it is delicious. Everybody like this , my daughter love this. Without onion also it tastes yum , i make without onions when there is fast or on ammavasai.
I learnt this recipe after my father in law passed away, if I would have learnt before that i could have made it for him. He likes dishes without onions. He would have liked this so.. much. I miss him so much. I would like to dedicate this recipe to my father in law.

Ingredients

Tomato – 3 to 4
Onion – 1 (Optional)
Green Chili – 2 to 3
Curry leaves – few
Salt to taste
Oil Mustard seeds, urad dhall for tempering

Method

1. Chop the onions. Slit the green chili in to two.
2. Put tomatoes in hot water , when it is cool , squeeze it with hands.
3. Heat oil in a pan , pop up mustard sees, uraddhall, green chili and curry leaves.
4. If you are adding onions, add and saute it.
5. Add the tomatoes adjust the consistency and give a boil.

Goes well with Dosai, Pongal , rotis.

This is going to take part in Sanghi ‘s Fall in love – Tomato.
